RunPee App Reviews

Tells you to pee during most important scenes

Ive tested this app in multiple movies to see if the people who set the pee times really pick good spots in the movie to miss. They are almost always critical or pivotal points in the movies and it seems like this app is some kind of prank on its users. It also has ads added back into the paid version.

Awesomeness!!!

What can I say... It does what its supposed to & does a great job. Fantastic idea!!!

Great app

This is the app Ive been waiting for all my life. Ive been using it for years and its never failed me. I usually have to use the restroom twice during a movie and I love how I can read what I missed.

Was good

I wont watch a movie without it. But now. This stupid app has a crazy add that goes on for brightly in the theater for 10 annoying seconds.

Best app ever...at least for going to the movies

I always check the app prior to a movie just in case I have to go.

Love it!!

I have a small bladder and can never make it through a two hour movie without using the bathroom once or twice. How about making this app compatible with the Apple Watch? I really hope youll have that someday soon.

Ads have GOT to go for original purchasers

Bought this when the 3G/3GS were current. Great app, but the ads at the beginning make me reluctant to even use it. Id even be willing to purchase (again) an option to remove the ads, but the devs have yet to bundle that as an option.

Great app

Run pee is one of my go to apps. I just wish that you could remove the ads.

Great idea, poor execution

I love the idea of this app, but I have beef with the notification aspect. Be aware that if you want to use the feature where it gives you a heads-up when you can actually, you know, run and pee, you have to have your iPhone UNLOCKED and with the RINGER ON. Ive got all possible notification buttons turned on for this app in Settings, but the only way my phone will vibrate when the pee break arrives is if the phone is unlocked and the app is open and running. Wont work if the phone is on Vibrate; wont work if the phone is on Do Not Disturb; wont work if youve even turned off the screen. So basically, for the Alert feature to work, you have to sit there with a fully-on phone in your lap, turned screen-down so the light doesnt bother people. It completely defeats the purpose. I know the technology exists to allow the app to run in the background and nudge me even if Ive turned off the screen. This is ridiculous. Youre better off using the app to get the timing and then setting your phones alarm to buzz you gently at the pee break. Its nuts. The app has good information about the movies, gives you a synopsis of what you might miss, etc. Im not crazy about the ad at the beginning, but I start the app before the lights go down anyway. Its the complete and utter failure of the Alert feature that really grinds my gears.

One of the best

I go to the movies a lot and this app is a lifesaver. That large Coke always makes me need to use the bathroom before the movie is over! Highly recommended...

Works perfectly, even when the phone is locked

Another reviewer was complaining that the notifications dont work properly, but I have had no problems at all in that department. Great app.

Ads after you buy

Its a good idea but the whole user interface is wonky at best and even after you pay to get the app there are ads. Do not recommend.

I used to love this app

I used to love this app. The last update made it incompatable with my operating system and did not warn me of that. I will not be using it anymore. It is a shame that you dont make an older version available.

Cant live without this app! I never miss the important parts of a movie now!

It great to know when to take a break! The hints dont usually give anything away either (I don’t mess with the timer I just read the few clues as to when there is a break). Plus, when on the break, you click the description and it gives you a pretty detailed description of what happens while you are gone so that you really arent missing anything at all! I was at the show with some friends and they laughed when I got up (because they knew I had used the app) but then they laughed even more when 3 other people (in the mostly empty theater) got up from different locations and also walked out at the same time, they assumed they had used the app too! It doesnt cache the data very well. Many theaters dont have good cellular connections (in my experience) and while I read RunPee before I came to the theater and left it on the place I wanted, when I go on breaks it (often) wants to reload everything again and bad connections make this a problem.... They’ve “fixed” the small front problem, but it’s still a little wonky when you enlarge it, but it’s better than it was.

Pretty Solid

Works perfectly. Thanks for all of the work you guys put in!

Deleted this promptly

Its poorly designed and overrun by ad support, which makes it impossible to use.

Reliable and silent help

We use this every single time we go to movies. Never disappointed. I put my phone of mute /vibrate. I do keep an eye on it. Ive gotten pretty good at estimating the times do I dont have to ck it often. I dont trust that I will feel the phone vibrate so I keep it near.
